The names Tang , Rachel Tang. Well actually my birth name was Xiaojun but no one could pronounce it right so my mother changed it to Rachel. I am 23 years old living in San Francisco, California Garden City. Although I live in the U.S I was not born here. I was born in China and then immigrated to the U.S over a period of time. Let me just say it took forever to get here and it was a very difficult journey . In China we lived in a communist country where we protested for democracy and freedom. Then my father decided it was time for us the leave China when the government open gun fire to all the protesters (including my parents). One of my fathers sibling sent us a letter telling us about how much better it is in the U.S.Where we could experience democracy and give me the best education possible. My father went first, then after two years me and mother went. We didn't go straight to the U.S we went to Thailand to Canada then at last we reached California. It was very different from my home country at first. My mother made me learn new words from the english dictionary everyday. I had a scholarship to Stanford University and then transferred toUniversity of Southern California, where I am now studying to become a doctor.
